We are still here...

I know, I know...we are not posting enough!!  It takes a good deal of time to get settled in, and once we feel settled, school will start and the settling in will begin again!

Just a note to say that Christmas was wonderful.  Kennedy still does not say much, but she seemed to like all of her gifts.  We thought she might get overwhelmed by two solid days of special events, family and meals, but she handled it all like a pro!

My brother, Ryan, got an XBOX 360 with Kinect...or however you spell it.  Kennedy and Mia played it most of the time that we were at Nana and Papa's house on Christmas day.  Kennedy did modern dance in China, so she rocked the dance game!  She quickly moved to the "hard" level, and would not give up until she earned the full 5 star rating...which she did!!  Then, she had to do it several more times to prove she was a solid 5 star girl!!  Mia got in the action too, but enjoyed the river rafting game more.  She and Kennedy had to work together in the "raft" to earn all the points.  It was hysterical to see them jump in unison!!  (Not so funny...when Charles played and jumped directly under the ceiling fan.  He nearly impaled his noggin!  Wait...maybe that WAS funny!!!!)

Santa brought a Wii to our house.  The girls are really into it.  In fact, after I had to DRAG them out of bed at 9:40 this morning, they ate breakfast and went straight to the game.  After Christmas break, I will have to put some real limits on that amount of screen time!  For now, I will let them play all they want.  It seems to be strengthening their already strong bond because they play and laugh together all day!

Kennedy also knits and does cross stitch.  Seems like we discover a new skill/talent every few days!  She is talking more to Mia when we are not in the room.  I hear them, and it is super cute!  She knows more than she shows.  We think she wants to only speak "correctly" so she is waiting.  She studies all the time!  I was happy this morning to see she fell asleep last night Knitting instead of reading the dictionary, though!  She deserves a break!!!

Here are some random pictures of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  They are all out of order...but I don't feel like fixing that!  I had to include one of Jack...yes...he only has one eye...and Addie!  They were right in the middle of all of the gift-opening action!  Also, they are just so stinkin' cute and sweet, and Kennedy LOVES them!
