We had a couple of hours on the island today. It was nice to be back to a place that we recognize. We had lunch at Lucy’s for old times’ sake.
The places that we shopped at before are gone or moved. It was kind of sad. I guess the restoration on the island and the migration away from the White Swan has diminished the tourist business quite a bit. The island was more beautiful than I remember, though. There were fresh coats of paint, new streets, green plants and happy faces everywhere we went.
Some of you may remember some of the places that we took pictures of today. Annie and Mia had their picture taken with the ox statue under the hotel last time, so I made the girls line up for a modern-day version. We also went for the ad-hoc red couch photos. None of us were dressed for it, but we had the shot, so we took it.
